Last updated: 14 October 2026. These Affiliate Terms ("Terms") govern your part in the Kainuwa Academy affiliate programme ("Programme"). By applying or taking part, you agree to them, and to our Terms of Service.
1. Joining
Apply from the affiliate section of your account. We may approve or reject any application. Once approved, you get an affiliate code and a personal link for every course, and can see your clicks, commissions and payouts in your Affiliate dashboard.
2. How the commission works
- The link is per course. Your link for a course looks like https://academy.kainuwa.africa/course/course-name?ref=YOURCODE. It earns commission only for that course.
- The rate is currently 15% of the course fee. The rate is set by Kainuwa in the platform settings, so this page always shows the rate in force today.
- What it is calculated on: the course fee the student actually paid, after any discount or coupon and without tax.
- Tracking window: when someone opens your link, we remember it for 30 days. If they buy that course within the window, you earn the commission. If they open another affiliate's link for the same course later, the newest link wins.
- Only qualifying sales earn commission: a paid purchase of a course by a person other than you. Free enrolments, gifts, bundles, shop products, organisation plans, KAIDA Points purchases and promotions do not earn naira commission, and neither does a purchase of a course you teach yourself.
- Bonus points. Kainuwa may also give you bonus points on a sale you referred: a sale made through your link, or a course bought with points by a member you referred. Currently the bonus is 5% of the sale value (0% means none are paid at the moment), paid in KAIDA Points to your wallet in addition to any naira commission above. Bonus points are taken back if the sale is refunded. KAIDA Points follow the rules in the Terms of Service.
- One commission is paid for each enrolment. Buying a different course without that course's link pays nobody.
- Illustration only: at a rate of 10%, a course fee of ₦10,000 would earn ₦1,000. Your real rate is the one shown above.
3. Changes to the rate
We may change the commission rate, the tracking window or the courses that qualify. A change applies to sales made after it takes effect, and we will tell affiliates beforehand when we can.
4. Refunds
If a referred purchase is refunded, the commission for it is reversed. If you were already paid, it is deducted from your next payout.
5. Withdrawing your earnings
- Each commission is held for 7 days before it can be withdrawn. You can withdraw once your available earnings reach the minimum of ₦2,000.
- Add a bank account in the Payouts page and confirm it with the code we send you. Payout requests are reviewed and approved by us.
- Give correct details. We are not responsible for money sent to wrong details you supplied.
- You are responsible for any tax on what you earn. We do not withhold tax unless the law requires it.
6. What you must do
- Promote Kainuwa honestly. Do not make false claims about courses, prices, income or results.
- Do not use spam, bots, fake clicks, fake accounts or any trick to create referrals.
- Do not buy through your own link or for your own accounts. Self-referrals earn nothing.
- Do not bid on "Kainuwa" or "Kainuwa Academy" as keywords in paid ads, or pretend to be Kainuwa.
- Do not promote with adult, violent or illegal content.
- Do not use coupon sites, cashback schemes or invented discounts without our written approval.
- Tell people when a link is an affiliate link, as the law and advertising rules require.
7. Ending the Programme
You may leave at any time. We may suspend or end your participation at any time, and may withhold or cancel unpaid commission earned by fraud, abuse or breach of these Terms. Remove our links and materials when you leave.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms and will tell you by email or a notice on the platform. Taking part after the update means you accept it.
9. Liability
Kainuwa is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost income or profit, arising from the Programme, except where the law does not allow it.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the courts of Nigeria.
